Bonfire Pottery is the cooperative effort of mother/daughter team of Lisa Heichelbech & Elizabeth Davis, based in Evansville, IN and across the river in Henderson, KY. A painter & printmaker for many years, Elizabeth studied at Depauw University earning a BA degree in Fine Art. Lisa graduated from University of Evansville with a BS in Art Therapy. Her primary studio courses were Sculpture and Pottery with Les Miley. Both bring their particular talents to the Collaborative Pieces which form a unique part of the Bonfire Pottery offerings.

Elizabeth's work reflects her painting background in her use of color and brushwork and also her ongoing love of horses, which frequently appear in her work.

This pottery is a mixture of wheel thrown, hand-built, and hand-carved pieces. Plates and Platters feature hand carved designs and free-hand painted non-relief work suitable for dinnerware. The nature of handmade pottery is that each piece will be slightly different (even within sets).

Custom work: our designs can be customized to our color schemes or to represent your pets, favorite flowers, etc. Custom sculpted tiles are available for multiple-piece commissions. (There is a sculpting fee. Plan ahead - this service requires 10-12 weeks).
